The Final Frontrier as been Conquered

Ohhh... What a match... there are lot many other fans who were waiting for this moment to see.... especially since those last three years.... Yes.. Am talking about the FeDex Aka Roger Federer-- winning the French Open 2009.

Of all the last years.. when everyone thought he had chance... but some how he was never able to come out of the NADAL Jinx. Normally... i wont miss any of the Gran slam matches especially the ones with Fedex, Nadal, Djokovic playing. I was thinking writing this blog when Nadal was knocked down by Soderling during pre-quaterfinal match. Everyone thought Federer had a great chance this time since his nemesis was out now. Things seemed to be clear but again the 4th round match against Tommy Haas proved to be very tough where Federer was down by two sets to nil and trying to save the breakpoint in the crucial 3rd set. Some how... he got out of that match winning the match in a 5 set thriller.... Quaterfinal seemed to be good against the home fav's... frenchmen Gael Monfils... followed by another 5 set match against the tall and heavy serving Argetine Juan Del Porto.... I thought... if Federer wins this match... he has a very good chance of winning the title.

And today the D-Day... from the game 1 itself.. the intensity from the Roger was much higher than any of his previous matches in the tourny.... Best part for Roger was the adv... over Soderling (Fedex winning all the previous 9 matches against the Swede)... Atleast.. he had the psyhological edge... Some how.. the Swede didn't produced the game he played against Nadal and Gonzalez during his epic semifinal match. Except the 2nd set where it went to Tie-breaker... Match seemed to be on the Fedex.... side

Its such a good.. thing to see the man winning the French open after being losing in the previous 3 occasions that to in the final's...

With this, he has equalled Pete Sampra's 14 Grand-slam wins and hope, it doesn't take much time to cross another barrier.

With this win, he as proved all his critics wrong and no doubts he is/will be one of the GREATEST tennis player ever to grace during the modern era.
