Mane Katti Nodu, Maduve Madi Nodu

::::Mane Katti Nodu, Maduve Madi Nodu::: This is proverb in Kannada. Let me try to translate (hope, its correct) it in English. "Built a house & see, Make a marriage and watch". These were the lines which i use to hear when never guys (Parents, Relatives, frens, etc) use to give an example when ever any of the above two things they have achieved or were part of these two things. I myself, have passed the first one (Maduve/Marriage) and the things we go through is quite amazing.

But this blog came to my mind after i got my first house in March-26-2010. The house which i purchased got to see it for the first time in the same month i.e. March 2009. As there goes another saying, love at first sight, I felt the same when i saw the house. To be frank, i never knew i would be owning the house after a year or so... coz this is due to the amount of time I, my parents specially my Father went a lot in making this to happen. From the time i gave the papers for legal verification towards the Sale registration, i was not sure if this is going to happen. Running around banks for the loan, keep submitting the papers, cross-checking with them & many more things. Most of this was done by my Father. One point of time, during June-July 2009, i had dropped the idea of buying this house since the price they were quoting was too high and it was crossing all the limits. Things started looking bright towards Oct-2009 when the talks were re-initiated b/n the two parties (Read me & Seller). Talk about the bargain, negotiation, innumerable phone calls, quite a few meetings, visiting the site again n again oopssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!... This is not a child's play. Coming to the day of registration, myself never knew it'll happen since we haven't got the final word from the seller saying that they are ok with everything and we can go for the registration till 12.00 P.M on the day of registration. It was Friday 26, the Sub-Registrar office closes at 3.00 P.M and we're there at 3.30 P.M. It took close to 2 hours for everything to happen. Believe me guys, owning a house n that to in b'lore, its not a cake walk. But the experience we go through it, its not easy to express..... (Even though i've already done it above :))
