King Rulezzzzzzzzz-Fedex

Some people are borned to win. Its a old saying, but it applies very aptly to Roger Federer. As the tennis marched towards the end of half-season with Wimbledon, the most popular Grandslam's of 4, it was very much seen for the Federer to make another histroy with his 15th Grandslam win taking over another Great Pete Sampras who had 14 of those.

As usual, the tourney... started. Till the last moment it was not confirmed whether Nadal would make to it. But unfortunately, he couldn't due to injuries. This was a very welcome news for his bete-noire's especially Federer, Djokovic, Murray. Roddick was the dark horse untill he overcame Hewitt and Murray in Q'final n Semi-finals resply.... But Federer on other end was cruising nicely with only losing a set against Philip Kholscriber in the 4th round. Roddick as to dig it hard against Hewitt in and entertaining 5 set thriller and passing another acid test against the home fav... Andy Murray.

The D-Day, Federer v/s Roddick. Federer as an amazing record against Roddick with 18-2. After seeing Roddick's match in Q'final n S-final, i would say his baseline game as improved a lot. The final indeed was a one of the finest and hard fought of all the previous ones. Roddick played the match of his life. He had the whole match till the very fag end of the match. Some how, at the end, there as to be a winner and other loser. This time, again Federer proved why he is one of the all time greatest of tennis players with his exquisite and precise serve, volley, the killer forehand and backhand cross court all made it to win over Roddick.

Even though the win for Roger meant the 15th GS plus again regaining the top spot as world # 1, i can see everyone felt more for Roddick who played such an amazing game and he was the one who was suppose to win that match. Anyhow, i hope, next year, it'll be Roddick's cup.

All the best....
